The Masters of Whisky are an elite group of 11 people dedicated to the education and promotion of whisky from around the world.  Edward Adams is the Master of Whisky for Southern California. In addition, he lends his talent and creativity as a guest speaker at events in Las Vegas, Arizona and Colorado. He represents Johnnie Walker, the Classic Malts of Scotland, Bushmills, Crown Royal and all of the whisky in the Diageo portfolio.   A Graduate of the Malt advocate course at the Royal Lochnagar Distillery in Scotland, he has also studied whisky in Ireland, Canada, Kentucky and Tennessee. Our MC for the night is Harlen Wheatley, MASTER DISTILLER/Buffalo Trace Distillery In 1995 Harlen came to Frankfort to work as Distillery Supervisor. At Buffalo Trace, he has applied much of his formal education and received intensive “on-the-job” training from Master Distiller Gary Gayheart.  Harlen became Master Distiller in 2005 after Gary’s retirement. We are very excited to have Jenni Olson of Charbay Winery & Distillery join us for our Easy-To-Make Cocktail Seminar. Jenni has been with Charbay for fours years and has an extensive background in the wine and spirits industry.     Charbay is a family owned & operated winery and distillery (based in northern California), representing 12th and 13th generation master distillers and winemakers. Mostly known for their hand-distilled fresh fruit vodka, Miles and Marko don’t leave any stone unturned (or fruit undistilled!). Their extensive award winning liquid line-up includes wines, ports, brandies, rums, whiskies, liqueurs and vodkas. Our MC for the evening will be Peter Hirsh of Youngs Market Estates.   A fourth generation “Beverage Specialist”, Peter has been in the Wine industry for more than 20 years. Peter completed the "Certified Specialist of Wine" and currently runs the largest "fine wine" sales division in the United States, responsible for such brands as Salon, Delamotte, Piper Heidsieck, Taittinger, Alfred Gratian, Charles Heidsieck, Drappier, Iron Horse and Schramsberg. Prior to this, Peter was a recording engineer working with major advertising companies, recording commercials for such companies as McDonalds and American Airlines which are still currently airing on radio and television today.  Also working with artists, Lionel Richie, Johnny "Guitar" Watson, Mary Wells, The Miami Sound Machine (with Gloria Estevan), Papa John Creech, Sly Stone,  Frankie Valle and many more.

Our MC for the evening will be Dr. Jan Krupp of Krupp Brothers Estates Winery. The story of Krupp Brothers began in 1991 with the vision of Dr. Jan Krupp, a physician with a green thumb and a passion for great wine. After nearly three decades in medicine, Dr. Krupp started his transition to vineyard life when he planted his first 40 acres on Napa's Atlas Peak. Two years later, Jan, along with his brother Bart Krupp and a group of wine-loving friends, developed Stagecoach Vineyard on Pritchard Hill, east of Oakville. At approximately 600 planted acres, Stagecoach Vineyard today is one of Napa's largest and most highly regarded vineyards, providing grapes to some of Napa's most famous and iconic wineries. In 1999, Jan and Bart saved some of these highly sought-after grapes to produce their first Cabernet Sauvignon, and Krupp Brothers winery was born. Today Krupp Brothers produces wines under three labels: Veraison (Bordeaux-varietals), Black Bart (Rhone-varietals), and the Gold Series (very limited production, ultra-premium wines).

Our MC for the night will be Alex Guarachi, owner and visionary of TGIC Importers, a top importer and wholesaler of many fine wines from around the world. Today, the popularity of South American wines in the US and specifically wines from Chile and Argentina is undeniable. The quality and vision of today’s winemakers are producing some of the top wines of the world in their own right. For instance, Argentina is a mecca for top winemakers from California, France and Italy who now consult there; Michel Rolland, Paul Hobbs, Robert Cipresso to name a few. It was not this way twenty years ago when Alex started TGIC Importers. His passion and determination to carve a niche and make a name for these great wines have paid off.  Today, Alex’s portfolio represents South America’s finest wineries including Montes, Santa Ema, Achaval Ferrer, Bodega Norton, Pascual Toso and Kaiken, as well as many other fine wines from several different countries spanning the globe.
