Black Bush

Black Bush is matured to perfection at Ireland’s Old Bushmills Distillery, the world’s oldest licensed whiskey distillery, where the original grant to distil was received in 1608. Originally, it was known as “Old Bushmills Special Old Liqueur Whiskey”, named because of the unique process of triple distilling single malt whiskey and then ageing it in Oloroso sherry casks.  As the whiskey quickly gained popularity, it was asked for by avid devotees as “Black Bush” a shortened form of the original brand name combined with reference to the distinguished black label.
