Amrut whiskies are the product of Amrut Distilleries, an India-based company producing single-malt Indian whiskies. They are made with Himalayan barley and aged in oak at an altitude of 3,000 feet to take full advantage of shifts in temperature to assist in the flavoring of the whisky. Their whiskies are non-chill filtered, which may lead them to have thick mouth-feel and a bit of haze in the presentation.Amrut Fusion Single Malt Whisky is made from two barleys: that from the Himalayas as is typical of Amrut whiskies and Scottish barley selected by their distiller. The scottish barley is peated, lending a bit of Scottish smoke to the flavor of the whisky.
