Ilegal Mezcal Reposado is produced from 100% Agave Espadin, and is a small batch artisanal product from Tlacolula, Oaxaca, Mexico. This initial Reposado batch (2010) is limited to 1836 bottles, and is rested approximately four months in medium char American oak barrels.
Each bottle is wax sealed, and contains a hand numbered parchment style label.
Appearance: dark straw - slow tears
Aroma: light wood and smoke, hints of agave and cinnamon
Initial Taste: buttery agave, smoke
Spirit Body: smoked agave and dried fruit
Finish / Aftertaste: long finish with sweet citrus and smoked chocolate
