In 2005 Hunter Chavanne and his wife, Britt Kulsveen Chavanne, moved to Kentucky to work in the family business. It was Britt’s Grandfather, Thompson Willett, who founded the company in 1936, shortly after Prohibition. Britt’s father, Even Kulsveen, has been the proprietor since 1984. Britt is a jack-of-all-trades, as she is involved in several aspects of the family business --from glass procurements to tax payments to warehouse logistics to distillery renovations to… you get the idea. Hunter is in charge of marketing and travels frequently, spreading the gospel of the unique, handcrafted Kentucky Straight Bourbon and Rye Whiskies from Kentucky Bourbon Distillers, Ltd. Both Hunter and Britt take great pride in carrying on the family tradition, as well as being part of a company that has several award-winning bourbon and rye whiskies to its credit.
